Comprehensive Gas Line Replacement With Dominion Energy
Since 2009, Dominion Energy has partnered with GPD for ongoing replacement of deteriorating gas lines located throughout Ohio with new steel and plastic piping. GPD has provided a variety of survey and design services on these projects, including basemap survey (includes topography, GIS support, ROW), construction staking, pipe design, AHJ coordination, bore designs, retaining wall design and site grading.
GPD has also helped Dominion with its ongoing Carroll Connector project, which includes the construction of a new 24-in, 6-mile-long pipeline in Carroll County, Ohio. GPD provided a wide variety of services on this project which, included boundary and topographic survey, construction staking, pipeline design, RUMA preparation, roadway permitting (through the Ohio Department of Transportation, Carroll County, and the local townships), geotechnical borings and report, environmental investigation, coordination and mitigation, access road design and public meeting presentations.
In every project with Dominion, GPD has prioritized community health and safety by taking a safety-first approach to design and development. To date, GPD has completed 510 miles of pipeline design and surveying totaling over $40M in construction value.
