GPD has designed various upgrades to the Village of Seville’s wastewater treatment plant since the mid-1980s, providing sound  counsel and reliable engineering services for decades.  

Improvements have included expansion of the final clarifier, addition of a chlorine contact tank and expanded waste sludge digesters. Innovative activated sludge treatment in the form of a sequencing batch reactor (SBR) was installed in the late 1980s, along with screening and grit removal, preliminary treatment, laboratory and control building, post aeration and chlorination, aerobic digester expansion and tertiary settling tank. In the late 1990s, the plant underwent an expansion of the aerobic digesters.  The disinfection system was replaced with medium-pressure UV in the mid-2000s. In 2012, GPD designed a 2.5-million-gallon, above-ground, wastewater detention basin with flow controls and washdown features along with an influent pump station upgrade.

Each of these projects demonstrates the success of GPD and the Village of Seville’s collaborative and long-lasting history of true partnership.
